From our Executive Director, Kent D. Warkentin, BA, MA, MEd
There are many reasons why I have spent the better part of my career in Christian education. One of these reasons is my passionate belief that there is untapped potential for growth and development in the Christian school movement. I am thrilled to be called to being part of the process of facilitating this effort in order to raise our sights, so that the impact we seek to have on students, families, churches, communities and professionals will move forward in dynamic ways. I often draw from the story of Nehemiah as it speaks to leadership and dealing with the complexities and challenges of “today”. Nehemiah had to exercise his skills, strategies, and relationships to build the walls of Jerusalem. We, as Christian school educators, need to draw on the skills, strategies and relationships we develop to meet the challenges and opportunities of 2021 and beyond - and embrace them all! ACSIEC seeks to be part of this journey with Christian schools in Eastern Canada, and worldwide.
