Child Care Director/Supervisor (RECE)

Newly enrolled CWELCC Christian child care centre opening this fall is seeking an enthusiastic RECE who
has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to launch and lead this new ministry of Central Baptist
Church Brantford.

The successful candidate must have a love for sharing the gospel with both children and adults. They
must have a positive attitude, great communication skills, and experience with leading and mentoring
people. In addition, they will have a desire to serve our church and our community. The Director must
share our core values/beliefs and have a passion for our church and its ministries.

The Director/Supervisor will be responsible for every day supervisory roles and provide leadership that is
consistent with the philosophy of the children’s centre.

Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and implement programs in compliance with the CCEYA How Does Learning Happen, an
asset, to guide program development and promote quality learning.
● Develop and implement policies and procedures for the daycare and be familiar with the CCEYA
applications.
● Build relationships with the MOE, municipality, and other required services to be able to liaison
and share information.
● Coordinate and fulfill the needs of starting and ongoing needs of daycare with various
committees and services.
● Purchase, set up, and maintain inventory of educational materials.
● Supervise and co-ordinate activities with staff.
● Interact with families and community and making themselves available for extension of the
daycare ministry as opportunities arise.
● Assess and monitor staff, students, or volunteers. Providing information, referral, and advocacy
services and/or report situations to the appropriate authority as required by law.
● Provide guidance and support to staff enduring their development and ongoing learning.

Qualifications:
● Degree in Bachelor of Education or Ontario Diploma in Early childhood education or equivalency
or MACTE or AMI Casa/Preschool Diploma
● Registered ECE in good standing
● Minimum 3 years of experience working in a daycare environment.
● Must be (or be willing to become) a member of our Central Baptist Church Brantford
● Desire to pursue training in Biblical counseling.
● Current food handlers’ certificate or a willingness to obtain one
● Proficiency in the CCLS platform for program administration and reporting purposes.
● Early childhood Administration & Supervisor program an asset.
● Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
● Current Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C
● Up to date Immunization Health Screening/Record (as per CCEYA guidelines)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: June 2024

Schedule:
● 8 hour day shift
● Monday to Friday
