excellence and spiritual growth. Rooted in Biblical truth, we equip students to
grow in wisdom, character, and faith. We are currently seeking a visionary,
servant-hearted leader to serve as our Elementary School Principal and lead
the school into its next chapter of growth and excellence.

Position Overview
The Principal of NCA will serve as the spiritual, academic, and administrative
leader of the school. This role requires a mature believer in Jesus Christ with a
strong calling to Christian education, who is passionate about fostering a
school environment that reflects Biblical truth, academic rigor, and a
nurturing, Christ-like community.

Key Qualifications

1. Spiritual Leadership & Biblical Worldview
  • A committed follower of Jesus Christ who believes in the saving power of His death and resurrection.
  • Active membership in an evangelical church, with a life and leadership style that aligns with Biblical principles.
  • A deep commitment to Biblical truth as the foundation of all learning and inquiry (Hebrews 1:1; 2 Timothy 3:16).
  • Ability to integrate a Christian worldview across all areas of the curriculum and school life.
  • Comfortable leading prayer, devotionals, and faith-formative experiences for staff and students.

2. Academic Excellence & Pedagogical Leadership
  • Holds Principal’s Qualifications and/or a Supervisory Officer’s Certificate from a recognized body.
  • Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (or equivalent from another jurisdiction).
  • Minimum 5 years of classroom teaching experience, preferably in a Christian education context.
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum planning, instructional leadership, and school improvement.
  • Strong understanding of the Ontario Curriculum and commitment to academic excellence.
  • Proficiency in integrating educational technology and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Skilled in differentiated instruction and assessment strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Willingness and ability to teach as part of the Principal’s responsibilities.

3. Leadership, Communication & Community Engagement
  • Proven track record of strong, values-based leadership in an educational environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster trust with staff, students, parents, and the Board of Directors.
  • Ability to lead with wisdom, grace, and consistency, particularly in matters of student well-being and discipline.
  • Committed to the holistic development of every student—spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Skilled in staff development, professional growth planning, and team-building.
  • Strategic thinker with a heart for outreach and community engagement to promote and grow the school in the Newmarket area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide visionary leadership aligned with NCA’s mission and values.
  • Cultivate a Christ-centered school culture marked by grace, truth, excellence, and belonging.
  • Oversee curriculum development, instructional quality, and academic assessment.
  • Support and mentor staff through regular professional development
  • and coaching.
  • Engage with families, church partners, and the broader community to build strong relationships.
  • Manage day-to-day school operations, including scheduling, budgeting, policy enforcement, and safety.
  • Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors and provide regular updates on school progress.
  • Actively promote the school in the community to grow enrolment and strengthen NCA’s impact.
