Sudbury Christian Academy (SCA) is a dynamic, Christ-centred learning community offering
both early learning and elementary education. Rooted in Biblical values and committed to

SCA serves children from infancy through Grade 8. Our passionate staff, supportive families,

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, spiritually grounded educational leader to guide our elementary
program into its next chapter of growth and excellence. The Principal will provide visionary,
spiritual, and academic leadership, support faculty and staff, and strengthen the Academy’s
sense of mission and community.

Key Responsibilities
● Lead with a Christ-centered vision aligned with the Academy’s mission and values
● Oversee daily operations, curriculum implementation, and staff development
● Mentor and support teachers in delivering high-quality Christian education
● Build strong relationships with students, families, staff, and community members
● Foster a safe, nurturing, and spiritually vibrant learning environment
● Collaborate with the Board on strategic planning and Academy advancement
Qualifications
● A committed Christian with a vibrant personal faith and active church involvement
● Principal Qualifications an asset
● Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification

● Minimum five years of teaching experience
● A recognized undergraduate degree and a Bachelor of Education (or equivalent)
● One of the following:
○ A Master’s degree in a relevant field
○ Two Additional Qualifications (AQs) in Specialist or Honour Specialist subjects
● Qualified to teach in at least three divisions
● Proven leadership experience, preferably in a Christian school setting
● Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
● Passion for holistic Christian education—spiritual, academic, social, and emotional
● Current AODA certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
● Current Standard First Aid with Infant/Child CPR & AED (Level C)
● A clear and satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) upon hiring
