Position Title: Supervisor

Summary: The Supervisor assists the principal in providing leadership, oversight, and support in the administration, educational programming, and spiritual development of the school community. This role requires a deep commitment to Christian values, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty and parents.

Responsibilities:

Spiritual Leadership:
  • Assist in fostering a Christ-centered environment that promotes spiritual growth and development among students, faculty, and staff.
  • Serve as a spiritual mentor and counselor to teachers, providing guidance and encouragement in matters of life and faith.

Educational Leadership:
  • Collaborate with the principal and faculty in curriculum development, implementation
  • Support teachers in integrating biblical principles into their teaching practices and classroom instruction.

Administrative Duties:
  • Day-to–day operation and management to make sure school meets all the licensing requirements under Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA)
  •  Assist the principal in the development and implementation of school policies, procedures, and systems to ensure effective operations and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Help oversee budgetary matters, including financial planning, resource allocation, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Support the recruitment, hiring, training, and professional development of faculty and staff.

Student Support and Discipline:
  • Assist in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment conducive to the holistic development of students
  • Work with teachers, counsellors, and parents to address student behavioural issues and disciplinary matters in accordance with school policies and Christian principles.

Community Engagement:
  • Collaborate with the principal in building positive relationships with parents, guardians and alumni.
  • Represent the school at community events, meetings, and outreach activities to promote its mission and values.
  • Support partnerships with local churches, ministries, and organizations to enhance the school's impact and outreach in the community.

Qualifications:
  • A strong commitment to Christian faith and values, with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Leadership experience in an educational setting or church, with demonstrated ability to lead and inspire others.
  • Knowledge of educational trends, curriculum development, and assessment practices.
  • A member in good standing of the College of Early Childhood Educators' Public Register (current registered early childhood educator, RECE).
  • Has at least 2 years of licensed child care work experience a strong theoretical background in the practice of early childhood education and is able to assist teachers to “plan and deliver inclusive play based learning and care programs for children from 18months-6 years old
