Description
Nimbus Christian Education (NCE) provides accredited, online courses (Gr. 5-12) developed and delivered by Christian teachers and staff who are committed to timely, caring and robust support for our students, families and schools.
We'd love to talk about how you can become part of the NCE staff team and enjoy the flexibility of working as an independent contractor who decides what, who, how often, how much and from where they would like to work!
Subjects: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Kinesiology
Compensation: Teachers are paid per student based on the offers of students they choose to accept. Offers are based on registration requests and teachers' stated preferences. Rate of pay varies based on registration type and service level. Based on current expectations, there will be a minimum of $5000 worth of work being offered, with the potential for much more depending on returning staff availability and registrations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Ontario College of Teachers, Christian School Teacher Certificate, or equivalent
- Degree or experience in the relevant subject area(s)
It would be beneficial if the applicant has:
- Taken, taught and/or created online courses (specifically asynchronous)
- Competency using Google applications
- Experience in Moodle and Brightspace by D2L
- Previously worked remotely
